More than 20 years have passed since I began that journey of the druid that leads us through the Holy Forest to the Sacred Grove.
After working with a small Irish group for several years I became one of the early members of OBOD and remember with great affection and gratitude my time in that Order.
Around the same time the opportunity arose for me to enter into the Irish Druid tradition. I met Ben mac Brady who was probably one of the last, if not the last surviving hereditary druid in Ireland and member of the Old Gaelic Order. During time spent with Ben, over a period of about 10 years, I benefited from his insights, guidance and wisdom as I undertook my own research into the Irish tradition. His vitality and extraordinary sense of humour brightened many a weekend and many interesting people met around his table. Ben’s encouragement certainly played a large part in my progress.
I have been blessed by fortune to count among my teachers and mentors those of the Irish Druid tradition, the Rosicrucian tradition and the Celtic spirituality of the Cosmic Tradition. Of fundamental importance to my own path and to the inner teaching that we call the Hidden Way Through the Holy Forest, is the spiritual teacher of the Cosmic tradition known as Shin, whose pupils we have been for many years.
I have been actively working with spiritual groups and celebrating the festivals with them since 1989 and in 2001 my husband Christian and I founded the Grove of Danu as a teaching Grove.
The idea for the Druid College grew out of many conversations and discussions with other druids and with our students.
Now, at the age of 57, working as a druid and teaching others on the path I find myself following my hearts desire – my experience of the druid path and the visible transformation that I have witnessed in those who follow it continues to fill me with passion and enthusiasm. I can think of no better occupation than to share with others the gifts that I have been given in such abundance and to invite you to join us in this great adventure with Nature.
